Airports throughout the country are expanding, and the Asheville Regional Airport in  Asheville, NC (AVL) is no different. Construction to improve and expand in  Asheville Regional Airport, began in 2019 and continues to move forward. On June 25, 2025, AVL opened its new  TSA checkpoint, which will relieve stress on the passengers. Asheville Regional Airport,  is quickly becoming a stronghold for Western North Carolina,  with the offer of  peace in the mountains, trendy craft breweries, and artisan products unique to this area. Even with improvements at the TSA in place, it is still recommended to check in two hours before your flight. With construction throughout the area it may be confusing, and you don’t want to get lost and miss your flight. 
I have been confused in airports and spent my time wandering aimlessly looking when the information is on the signs above.
